Papaw Joe Colson founded Alpine Hills Swiss Farm in 1947 when he bought his first few head of Brown Swiss Cows from Illinois. His son Dean took over the farm in 1980 along with his wife Debbie. They continued to milk in Corinth, KY until they purchased their current 250 acre farm in Dry Ridge, KY in 1994. Now the herd consists of 55 milking cows and several young heifers. Through the years they have shown at the Kentucky State Fair and the North American Livestock Expo. |
